I wore glasses from 7th grade until freshman year of Uni when I got contacts and make-up was a challenge. How to make my eyes pop behind my glasses so people look at my eyes and not my frames?
This is the make-up look I perfected and still use because I love it so much! The key is to keep it clean, bright, and dewy.
NYX dual eyebrow pencil and highlighter
(a bit dried) ELF Mascara
Glasses draw attention to your brows more than usual so keep them tamed and filled. I liked a bit of a bold brow with my glasses so I went a bit dark with mine. ELF mascara is not great for lashes but I let it dry a little and use it to comb my brows and it is fab!
white/pearly liner/highlighter for under brow and corners- NYX shadow stick in Cottage Cheese
black liner good for cat-eye
skinny wand mascara- gorgeous cosmetics
Keep the eyes clean with basic brown and cream but use a pearly/white highlighter or liner on corners of your eye and under brow bone to add dewy shimmering finish! The brown and the pearly white look SO good together. Liner adds shape to your eyes and draws attention to them so a black classic cat-eye looks great! my problem was that my lashes always hit my frames so a skinny wand mascara for separation was the best. I used the wand to pull my lashes to the side(ish) for a doe-eyed look that kept my lashes off my frames.
Good concealer- Rimmel Wake Me Up
Nice bright blush- Nars Orgasm ( NYX make a dupe)
Glasses make your eyes look darker so a good concealer is ESSENTIAL. Keep skin dewy and clean with illuminating liquid and a bright blush skeeping from apples up to draw eyes up your face
Pink Lipstick ( Bobbi Brown, NYX, Rimmel, and Revlon make good ones)
Orange Lip ( My favorite one is by Revlon but MAC makes a good orange too)
Y’all know I love a bold lip more than anything. Pinks and orange will brighten up your look sooooo much and keep it interesting.
